Welcome to Canada Eh?
After the Canadian police shook us down hoping to score some of Colorado’s finest, we headed straight to Banff in search of epic biking, massive grizzlies and beautiful glacial lakes.
We made sure to hit the park by sunrise every morning to escape the hoards of people but we were not prepared for the sight of the five star resort that sits right on the shore of Lake Louise. Was anyone else who has been there shocked by this sight? So we got our photo ops in front of the beautiful lakes like everyone else and headed West towards Revelstoke in search of more bike trails and less people.
Life on the road did not get much better than when we were romping through Canada hitting one epic flow trail after another. We’re not kidding when we say it was nothing but…
Eat. Sleep. Bike. Repeat
We pretty much had just enough time to whip up some dinner around 9 p.m when it got too dark to ride. It was a challenge not to fall asleep on our plates each night.
The Canada riding definitely lived up to all of our expectations… We found ourselves taking lap after lap on some of the best flow trails in the world with berms built up double our height. The sheer amount of single track in some of these Canadian towns is mind blowing. We left each place completely blown away just to have our minds blown again by the next stop. And even though we did nothing but ride the entire time we know we only scratched the surface. We will definitely be back for more. If anyone has been here and has some must hit trails let us know!!
Here’s a glimpse into the first part of our Canadian Shenanigans including a few mesmerizing glacier lakes in Banff National Park and riding our hearts out in Revelstoke, British Columbia on Mt. MacPherson and Boulder Mountain Trails.
